MyUSATT: US Table Tennis's Digital Leap – A New App, New Expectations

A mobile app cannot help a player increase arm speed or improve their serve. But when USA Table Tennis (USATT) unveils MyUSATT, the story lies not in the strokes but in how a national sports federation is reshaping its operations in the digital age. USATT, the highest governing body for table tennis in the U.S., is recognized by the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC). For years, USATT has struggled with a chronic problem: how to manage tens of thousands of members across a vast territory, with clubs and tournaments scattered. The launch of MyUSATT is expected to solve that problem by integrating everything into a single app. According to the announcement, MyUSATT will become the "digital home" for the entire U.S. table tennis ecosystem. From membership registration, tournament schedules, result updates to connecting organizers, coaches, officials and players, everything can be found inside the app. USATT CEO Virginia Sung called it "a major step forward in modernizing" the federation. Innovation Director Ed Chan emphasized their goal is to "deliver the best experience" for members. Notably, the app’s release on both Apple’s App Store and Google Play shows that USATT wants to reach the maximum number of users. However, from a strictly technical point of view, MyUSATT is not a performance-tracking tool. It does not monitor heart rate, analyze ball trajectory, or offer online coaching features.
